Expeditions periodically appear as Events in solar systems and allow an officer and commandos to be sent to a planet. The chances of retrieving resources and having commandos survive vary depending on the selected officers skills.

- All injured officers and commandos are healed back to full health after the expedition.

Certain types of expeditions need special skills and always grant the listed rewards if all conditions are met. The Required Skill not always clear at this point.
